hello hello! it’s been a really very long time, hasn’t it? i’m sorry to say that i am still not coming at you with a new recipe post, and i’ll blame that on technical difficulties plus a little bit of laziness. maybe a lotta bit of laziness. but such things are on their way and in the meantime here are some things and some stuff to help us all pass the time:
- next time you’re in need of a new wall clock or phone case, check out precious plastic bazar to buy (and sell) items made completely out of recycled plastic. or check out preciousplastic.com to learn how you can build or collaborate on your very own plastic recycling workspace ???!!
- these suspiciously cheesy apple crumb bars sound suspiciously incred.
- to make this week: ottolenghi’s spicy mushroom lasagna
- finally, the answer to the question we’ve all been wondering: what are the top 10 medieval musicians that sound just like weezer?
- this piece of writing based on the untitled goose game is, from the bottom of my heart, one of the most amazing things i’ve read all year. favorite lines include “theft puts a parade into my walk, i am so proud to steal from you and your bad family, who are no good to me and are not geese. i am the most goose who ever was” and “here i am coming with the good news of me, and you hate it”
- kintsugi clothing sells “disability-conscious clothing” and i especially love their t-shirts featuring pin-up girls with disabilities :’)
- paintings by an artist ahead of her time. women are unstoppable.
- some recent cookbook releases include east: 120 vegetarian and vegan recipes from bangalore to beijing and food52 dynamite chicken, which, ok, i’m not a big cooker of chicken but i will read absolutely anything written by tyler kord so whatever!!
- and for one of my favorite fiction books of the year, please read and love this is how you lose the time war!!!
- oh, also, here are the best cookbooks of the century so far
- is patagonia real, even?
- what not to wear’s stacy london is having a midlife renaissance:
“there are moments when i wake up and i say ‘it’s never gonna be the same, it’s never gonna be the way it was.’ and you can look at that with sadness, or you can look at that as an opportunity. just because something hasn’t been yet doesn’t mean it won’t be wonderful”. an inspiration!!!!!
ok that’s all. talk to you soon!
