hello little friends! how are you? how was your weekend? how many times have you seen black panther so far? may these philosophical questions give you much to think about as you live your life this week. here are a few things i’ve gathered for you to start off your March:

  • my girl ruby tandoh of great british bake off fame just published her third book, eat up. i haven’t read it yet but did read an excerpt in which she talks about eggs, stating, “if someone has cooked eggs for you, they have loved you, and it is impossible not to fall in love with them in return” so you know i’m sold
  • a little more hoopla than cooking eggs but i promise i’ll still fall in love with you over a bowl of vegan pozole
  • “There’s a pervasive notion that when women cook, it’s a chore, and when men cook, it’s an art.” zzzzzzzzzzzzz
  • i started off my 2018 with naomi alderman’s the power. i think it was a good move.
  • lil culinary-theme embroideries!!
  • beautiful cakes made of felt!! yum yum
  • not that anything has ever or will ever stop me from enjoying a classic gin and tonic all throughout the winter but nevertheless, i’m loving the idea of this winter gin and tonic
  • you’ve probably already watched janelle monae’s new video half a dozen times but like…no one does it better. there’s nothing better.
  • the joy of reading about cooking. truly.

i love you!
