hello and happy almost fall cookbook season!

this fall, forget snuggling up under the blankies with a sweater and a mug of hot apple cider. i’m snuggling up with clarissa wei’s made in taiwan and amy thielen’s company. forget decorating the house with pumpkins and candles. i’m decorating it with copies of sara calvosa olson’s chími nu’am. it’s time to be as annoying about new cookbook releases as some people are about pumpkin spice and the nightmare before christmas. truly i look forward to fall cookbook season all year long. this year in particular, because some of these releases are ones i’ve been excited about for a very long time jon kung’s kung food! sohla el-waylly’s start here! two of the most knowledgeable chef turned content creators i can think of coming out with books on the same day hellooooo? andrew rea’s long-awaited-by-me basics with babish. adeena sussman’s shabbat. not to mention all the books i only came across while researching this post, and now have sitting at the very top of my wishlist, like michal korkosz’s polish’d and michael smith’s farmhouse vegetables. here are just 15 upcoming releases i’m marking my calendar for, and 2 bonus food-related non-cookbooks. which fall release are you cooking from first this year?
